Today in Florida, Obama met with Bill Clinton in Florida for a rally. After spending Monday in Ohio and Pennsylvania, Tuesday in Pennsylvania and Virginia, Obama finally spent a full day in Florida. He ended his day with his rally With Clinton. This is a huge step, because it shows that the Clintons are finally throwing their full support behind the democratic candidate. This unification of the democrats, so to say, is a huge gain for Obama, especially since Clinton was the last democrat to win Florida’s electoral votes.
Obama plans to move from Florida to Virginia, Missouri, and then back to Florida tomorrow, and ending his week with a visit to Iowa on Friday.

Obama is just toying with McCain at this point. A visit to Florida is just a little ridiculous. I understand the 50 state strategy it just strikes me as weird that he is not securing his lead in Ohio and other close states with the time he has spent in Florida. (Or is it 49? I don't think Obama has been to Alaska.) What he really should do to rub it in McCain's face is to visit Palin's home town. Now that would be over the top.
I dunno Cameron, Florida is still a swing state and is vital to McCain winning this election. Obama is leading in the polls by a little in Florida and I believe that if he wins Florida's 27 electoral votes, it will really secure this election for him. Don't get me wrong, he should definitely take time for Ohio and other states, but I think a trip to Florida is reasonable.
As for Clinton, I think that move is great for the Democrats as they are showing unification especially as the Republicans unity seems questionable at this point.
As I've said before McCain needs to secure the three heavy hitters that are still somewhat "up for grabs" (Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Florida) if he intends on having any chances of winning on November 4th. The fact that Obama has been in these three states recently, and currently holds the lead in all three, proves how close McCain is to defeat.
I believe Florida is in contention for the Democrats as it was in 2000, when Al Gore was robbed of a Presidency. However, Obama must continue to visit, because the Jewish vote will not be easily won for him. Obama's association with many anti-Israel groups has created a stigma of Antisemitism, and thus Obama must work even harder.
I agree with Mr. Stein, especially with this whole LA Times/Rashid Khalidi business. If that tape were to come out, it could be another Reverend Wright.
Speaking of Reverend Wright...it finally came. A campaign ad featuring excerpts of his sermons played in Pennsylvania over the weekend. The McCain campaign stuck by its promise to not use the Reverend Wright scandal against Obama, as it was an ad produced by the PA Republican Party, not McCain. Frankly, I'm really surprised it hasn't come out earlier.
But robbed of his presidency? Gore was as much robbed of the presidency as he was robbed of credit for his invention of the Internet (or "internets" as Bush would say). Unless of course you meant Nader was the thief.
